AltaVista is currently alternating their rankings at times. Therefore, you may rank in a certain position on the first search, and then a subsequent identical search a few minutes later may show somewhat different rankings. We assume this is temporary and will eventually be corrected by AltaVista.
Note: Lycos and AllTheWeb are now reporting identical rankings with the exception of a single Lycos Network listing at the top of a few Lycos.com queries. These are essentially advertisements for Lycos properties or partners. Therefore, since rankings are essentially identical, rankings are now checked on AllTheWeb and reported under the combined AllTheWeb (Fast)/Lycos heading. Another reason for utilizing AllTheWeb: Many users outside the U.S. are currently unable to query www.lycos.com since a Lycos "feature" automatically redirects them to their country-specific Lycos portal based on their IP address.
To improve your rankings on Sprinks, you'll need to set up a Sprinks.com account and place bids similar to Overture.com. Since the Inktomi portion of the Sprinks results are so similar to other Inktomi based engines, only the paid Sprinks listings will be shown on this report.
Ah-Ha may sometimes rotate an ad from eBay or another partner within its search listings. Therefore, you may see one or two 'partner' listings vary each time you run a report.
AOL Web Sites is currently alternating their rankings at times. Therefore, you may rank in a certain position on the first search, and then a subsequent identical search a few minutes later may show somewhat different rankings. To improve your rankings on Kanoodle, you'll need to set up a Kanoodle.com account and place bids similar to Overture.com. Since the Google portion of the Kanoodle results are so similar to other Google-based engines, only the paid Kanoodle listings will be shown on this report.
Lycos appears to be having trouble with their search engine. At times it will return "no matches found" erroneously. This may occasionally cause one or more of your searches to be reported as "No Matches Found". We are hoping that Lycos will resolve this issue quickly.
Not in first 50 means your Web site was not found in the top 50 positions. You may scan more matches by increasing Matches to Scan under the Mission Option Tab. Click here for why WebPosition may not be finding matches! (Run the Page Generator and Page Critic for help on improving these rankings.)
